  • Immune cell:

    A cell that is involved in the body`s defence against infection. Most immune cells circulate in the bloodstream as white blood cells.

  • Immunity:

    A bodys reaction to the introduction of foreign substances, through the production of defensive substances such as antibodies.

  • Integrin:

    A class of molecules that are involved in cell adhesion.

  • Interferon:

    A group of cytokines. They are antiviral and have anti-tumor effects. They are also used to treat some types of cancer.

  • Interleukin:

    Cytokine that acts as a messenger between leucocytes; serve as important mediator in immune reactions and the inflammatory response.
